Martin Silber is IntegraMed’s primary acupuncturist. His years of combining his instructional talents with his natural professional touch have made him the perfect choice for IntegraMed Integrated Healing Arts in Hicksville, New York. He has more than 27 years of clinical experience with various healing modalities such as Amma, Bioenergy Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Massage Therapy, Myofascial Release, Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Hypnosis, and Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

 

He was first introduced to acupuncture as a physical therapy technician/medic while serving at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) in Washington, DC. After leaving the military he graduated with honors from The New Center for Wholistic Health, Education and Research and Tri-State College of Acupuncture both in New York.

 

His acupuncture class was the first to graduate in New York State and he is credited with being the first military veteran to graduate from an acupuncture school in New York.

 

He is also a National Acupuncture and Detoxification Association (NADA) certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS) and a Registered Trainer (RT) as well as a Clean Needle Technique training instructor and examiner for the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM).

 

He is responsible for creating the first Long Island chapter for the Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY) and created and supervised the first acupuncture detoxification program for Catholic Charities in Commack, New York.

 

For the last 14 years, he has been the acupuncture supervisor for Nassau County’s Department of Drug and Alcohol Detoxification program. (NCDDA)

 

Martin is currently an instructor at the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Mineola, New York and for The Dr. Chi Group, which is an advanced graduate workshop group for multiple styles of acupuncture.

 

He was an instructor and clinic supervisor at the Eastern School of Acupuncture in Montclair, New Jersey and The New York College of Health Professions in Syosset, New York for more than 12 years.
