Martin Silber is IntegraMed’s primary acupuncturist. He has more than 30 years of clinical experience with multiple healing modalities such as Amma Therapy, Bioenergy Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Massage Therapy, Myofascial Release, Physical Therapy, Medical Qi Gong, Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Clinical Hypnosis, and Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
He has been a Board Certified Diplomate with the National Council for the Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) since 1994 and received his New York State acupuncture license in 1995.
In 1997 he received his National Acupuncture and Detoxification Association (NADA) certification as an Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS) and his Registered Trainer (RT) status in 1999 at The Lincoln Hospital Substance Abuse Program.
Martin is responsible for creating the original Long Island chapters of the Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY) in 1997, 1999 and 2007.
Since 1998, he has been the senior acupuncture supervisor for Nassau County’s Department of Drug and Alcohol Detoxification program (NCDDA) in the Substance Abuse Clinic (SAC).
In 2000 he created and supervised the first acupuncture detoxification program for Catholic Charities in Commack, New York.
Since 2009, Martin has been an instructor and clinic supervisor and in 2015 became the clinic director at the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NYCTCM) in Mineola, New York.
In 2009 he became a Clean Needle Technique training instructor and examiner for the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM), now operating as Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (CCAHM).
Martin became a member of the Nassau County Medical Reserve Corps in November of 2015 and was selected to be the Acupuncture Team Leader in June of 2016.
